Grand Canyon

There's no picture we could take to do any justice to the Grand Canyon. It's magnificence is beyond words. Wow.

That said, we have a few pictures to share from the Grand Canyon and the wedding. We gathered on the South Rim of the canyon, these first two pictures are views from the outside the canyon-side lodges. As always, you can click on any image to see a larger version.

The wedding ceremony was held in an out of the way place in the park called Shoshone Point. It is accessible by foot, or by dirt road with a permit. There was a somewhat steady stream of hikers in and out while we were there, but they were almost unnoticeable to us. Guests were shuttled up the road.

You can see a little bit of the Colorado River in the next picture, look for the whitewater near-ish the middle of the photo. I can't believe it carved out this canyon.

We arrived early so had some time to play. We found pretty flowers around. We were told the red flowers are called Indian Paintbrushes. I love those.

The bride and groom were married in this spot.
