me&mr: Making up for lost time...

I'm still here. I even made the fancy new banner to express my renewed commitment to the blog. Did you miss me?

I'm going to make up for the months of blogging drought with a really long post. We've had a lot going on since September, and I have many pictures to share.

We had a great Thanksgiving with Mr's parents...yummy food, good times.

Miss pup came along and spent the whole time staring out the back door looking at the squirrels.

Imagine the dog's luck when a kitty walked up to say hi, and the big piece of glass saved the kitty from being lunch.

In early December my Dad came to visit with a truck full of furniture, mostly from his mother's house. It is so special to me and Mr to have her furniture. He brought us a dresser, it holds my clothes now.

We got a little cabinet that we called the telephone table when it was in her house. In our house it holds the cookbooks. I love the flowers on the front.

We also got the super coolest dining room table in the world!

My parents gave us a great chair from their living room. It complements our other furniture nicely and is very comfy. The dog gives the new chair her stamp of approval.

There were many other things on the truck, too many to list. A special thanks goes out to my Dad for dodging snowstorms and driving 1200+ miles to bring us all this great stuff.

We did some minimal decorating for Christmas. Mr went out and cut some limbs off the trees, we stapled them to the wall (hope the landlord isn't reading this), and wrapped lights around them. No Christmas tree wrangling involved!

Around the same time we got kitty a new scratching post. He loves his perch.

We had one exciting Sunday in December when me and Mr drove to Charlotte to see the Vikings play. Despite the fact that it was freezing, we sat about as far away from the field as possible, and they lost, we still had fun! Getting ready to leave:
